Shared Vision Fuels Acquisition of Project Management Software Leader
AUSTIN, TX (March 14, 2016) Versata Enterprises, Inc., announced today the acquisition of EPM Live from Austin-based Upland Software. EPM Live, in combination with SharePoint, provides an enterprise work engine for teams to manage and collaborate on cross-organization projects.
EPM Live’s products are the only full PPM solutions that are built on the Microsoft SharePoint platform. IT organizations can protect their IT investment in SharePoint by leveraging EPM Live products to extend their collaboration and document management tool into a full blown project, portfolio and work management platform. This means that organizations can manage their projects, their products, and their work all on one platform.
EPM Live will return to operations as a stand-alone entity with a dedicated customer support and product team. EPM Live joins Versata’s corporate family of over 30 enterprise software companies acquired over the past seven years. Integration will begin with implementation of Versata’s Customer Success program, a proven method for driving successful customer relationships and alignment of product development investments with customer priorities.
“Versata’s history of meaningful innovation, streamlined engineering and intense customer focus provides an exciting future for EPM Live,” said Craig MacInnis, SVP and GM of the Eclipse and EPM Live divisions of Upland Software, Inc. “Versata and Upland are both dedicated to ensuring the ownership and management transition is a positive one for EPM Live customers.”
Veteran Versata executive Danielle Royston will take on the role of CEO for EPM Live. “I am pleased to lead EPM Live into the future with its world-class customers and innovative products. Moving forward, we will create even more value for EPM Live customers by advancing product development, enhancing support and instituting a near obsessive focus on customer success,” Royston said.
